The overwhelming acceptance of the Delta PDP governorship Flag-bearer, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, across the length and breadth of Delta State was once again established when the people of Ndokwa/Ukwuani nation threw their weight behind Dr. Okowa and pledged to work with him to deliver all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, PDP in the forth coming 2015 general elections.
The endorsement was contained in a communiqué signed and delivered to Senator Okowa when the members of the Ndokwa Leaders and Elders Forum paid a solidarity courtesy visit to the PDP Governorship flagbearer at his campaign headquarters in Asaba, to felicitate with him and pledge their full support to him.
Confirming the endorsement of Okowa by the Ndokwa/Ukwuani nation, the Secretary of the Ndokwa Leaders and Elders Forum, Hon. Oyibosochukwu Nwabueze, said that the Ndokwa nation has settled all the lingering issues that emerged following the primaries and had resolved to give their full support to Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa in his quest as the next governor of Delta State.
Oyibosochukwu further noted that the Ndokwa Leaders and Elders Forum had equally resolved to deliver all the PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections namely, Hon Ossai Ossai for the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Friday Osanebi, for Ndokwa West House of Assembly Constituency, Hon Azuka Azaka for Ndokwa East House of Assembly constituency and Hon (Dr.) Alphonsus Ojo, for Ukwuani House of Assembly constituency.
The Ndokwa Leaders and Elders Forum also resolved to give their full support to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the February 14 Presidential elections and ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, emerges victorious from the general elections with landslide votes from the Ndokwa nation.
The group which was led to the courtesy visit by its leader Chief (Dr.) Godwin Ukwegbu, also had in its entourage, High Chief J.U Oshiowu, High Chief Paul Malagwu, High Chief Anthony Oboeshieke and Chief C.O Onwuka amongst others.
