Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has stated categorically that the state government has no plan of scrapping Delta State University Campus located at Oleh.
The governor made this disclosure on Sunday February 7, 2016, while addressing the congregation during the victory thanksgiving service organized by Hon Orezi Ozievo, member representing Isoko South Constituency1, Delta State House of Assembly.
Okowa said, “We have no plan of scrapping the Oleh campus. We as government are already planning on upgrading the facilities there,” he added, even as he debunked widespread rumours and reports which had been making the rounds in the social media recently, purportedly alleging his government’s plan to scrap the Oleh campus.
Dignitaries present at the occasion to mark the victory of Hon. Esievo at the general election and resounding victories recorded at the Tribunal and Appeal court respectively, as the certified winner of State House Assembly election in Isoko South Constituency1, Delta State, included Rt. Hon Monday Igbuya, Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Leo Ogor, Minority leader House Of Representatives, as well as other members of the state legislature, top government functionaries, political leaders and elder statesmen from Isokoland and Delta state.
