OCHOR RECEIVES DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AWARD

ossaiossai1The Executive Director, Social Services Development, Delta State oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), Hon. Ochor Chris Ochor, has been awarded the distinguish leadership award from the national body of Delta State Students, the National Association of Delta state Students, (NADESSTU)

According to the National President of the student body, Comrade Samuel Agolo, Hon Ochor was recognized for the distinguish award by the present Executive of the union because of his exemplary leadership track record and service to humanity.

Speaking further, Comrde. Agolo said that one of the conditions for determining the award in favour of Hon. Ochor, was the fact that records had shown that he is a detribalized Deltan and it was beholden on the body and indeed any other organization to recognize such a person with such an exemplary personality.

The student body spokesperson however, used the occasion to remind DESOPADEC on her responsibilities to students of Delta State origin from her mandate areas.

Reacting to the award, Hon Ochor thanked the students for the recognition and his induction into the Hall of Fame of NADESSTU.

“Because I did not apply for this award and it was not giving to me to get something from me, it is very commendable and quite satisfying,” he said.

“I am spurred to work harder and to do more, if what I had done has attracted this,” Hon. Ochor concluded.

Highlight of the occasion was the formal presentation of the Distinguished Leadership award by the leadership of NADESSTU, to Hon. Ochor Chris Ochor.
