The appraisal was made by the Executive Director, Social Services Development, on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), Hon Ochor Chris Ochor, during the inauguration and investiture of the Patrons and Patronesses, as well as some Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) chieftains at Agbor, Ika South.
Hon Ochor, who spoke on-behalf of the recipients, said that from the inception of the group to the time of the inauguration, the leadership which is made up seasoned administrators has proved that they can assist to deliver government policies to the people of Delta state.
Ochor then advised the leadership to be patient and steadfast in their good works, as the journey to achieve any dream is never easy, even as he assured the group that they will receive all the necessary support from their newly invested patrons to enable them succeed in spreading the message of the SMART Agenda to Deltans in all the nooks and crannies of the state..
“The journey and work is not easy, this is why I have to say you will have a lot of patience, a lot of forgiveness, and a lot of hard-work for you to deliver”, Ochor said.
While lauding the group for the achievements made within a short period of formation, he called on them to launch into the wards and units of the state to promote the activities of the body and policies of the government of Delta state.
Speaking to Journalists at the end of the occasion, Hon Ochor praised the achievements of Gov. Okowa for delivering the dividends of democracy to Deltans at all sectors of development in the state, saying that the vote of confidence passed on the governor by the group is well deserved.
