The Prosperity Youth Coalition, a group of youth working for the re-election of Governor Douye Diri and Deputy Governor, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, has been inaugurated at the Peace Park in Yenagoa,.
The youth group led by its Director-General, Comrade Doubra Komoku pledged total support for the re-election campaign.
The PDP National Financial Secretary, Mr. Daniel Woyengikuro, performed the inauguration and received some defectors from the APC into the PDP fold.
Governor Diri in his remark, thanked the youths for their unflinching support to the Prosperity Government, saying that apart from infrastructural development, building human bridges is also very key.
“We want to say thank you to all of you. Bayelsa youths are very progressive, they can fit in anywhere in the world.
Apart from building roads to connect ourselves, we are also building human bridges that will connect Bayelsa and the rest of the world. And so, our Bayelsa youths, you are very productive,” Governor Diri said.
“Going into this election, you must work hard for continuity and progress of Bayelsa State. Development is our target. You must raise army of youths to protect your votes at every polling units”, he said.
